SARABETH DUNTON

Sarabeth Dunton is concerned with connection; how we touch, how we communicate, and how we convey our vast interiorities to and with one another. Through language, drawing, and material considerations, Dunton seeks excavate and evoke emotionally transient states of being. For her, material functions as metaphor. Using graphite as a conduit, she anticipates the action of the audience as a medium to address the viewer’s physical presence and as way ‘into’ the body of the other. The goal is to break down boundaries and to address desire as a form of connective tissue.
